ArtPalmBeach show, which will take place from 20 – 23 January 2012, will celebrate its 15th anniversary in a scheduled opening night on 19 January. The show which is in favour of critics since 1997 has a confirmed and long influence on cultural demonstrations in Florida. On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, over 70 galleries will participate, represented by artists with different horizons of the contemporary art scene such as painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, glass art, video art, as well as the most recent modern art installations.
The program for the 2012 edition, will be the most ambitious of ArtPalmBeach show since its creation. It will honour Japanese sculptor Jun Kaneko’s career, with an exhibition organized by Elaine Baker Gallery. This artist’s bidimensional sculptures in glass and bronze have been presented in several international shows and biennales and take part in fifty museums’ collections all over the world.
This year’s edition was very successful, with a record of almost 30,000 visitors at Miami Beach Convention Center along with important auctions that lasted 3 days.
