Changes announced at Christie’s

2012 starts at Christie’s with a reorganisation of the auction house’s various teams, however especially of the department of Impressionist and Modern Art.

Thomas Seydoux will from now on be director of Christie’s impressionist department, responsible for both public auctions and private sales.

Giovanna Bertazzoni has been named as the same department’s international expert. She will be charged with the responsibility of managing the department’s impressionist and modern sales abroad. She will be regularly closely working with the auctioneer’s director of international sales, Harco van den Oever. Bertazzoni began her career at Christie’s in 1998 as a senior specialist.

Christie’s America will be welcoming a new Vice-President. Brook Lampley has been working for the company since 2004,and was responsible for evening sales from 2009 up until now.

Olivier Camu, Andreas Rumbler, Cyanne Chutkow and Conor Jordan have also all been promoted to become vice presidents of various departments.

Sharon Kim, Jay Vincze and Arian Meyer are to become international directors, responsible for finding new merchandise.

Concerning marketing, Peter Foley will join Christie’s Impressionist and Modern Art department, his appointment having been announced early in January this year.
