Victoria, 10 September 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA).
Grants up to $ 350,000 will be awarded to various communities of Victoria (Australia). Projects that will benefit will have to deal with the history, preservation and promotion of the Australian past.
The Prime Minister of the State of Victoria and Minister for the Arts Ted Baillieu said that the grants over $ 15,000 will be distributed to non-profit groups (historical societies, schools, sports clubs etc..) for projects that reflect the fascinating history of Victoria over the centuries.
The program “grants for local history” provides benefits to support different types of projects, including exhibitions, multimedia projects, publications, or digitization projects or preservation of national historic objects.
“Victoria has a very rich history and has numerous events worth celebrating.” Mr Baillieu insists.
This program, organized by the Public Record Office of Victoria, will review the applications until 12 November 2012.
