London, 20 September 2012. Art Media Agency (AMA).
From 20 October 2012 to 27 January 2013, the Victoria & Albert Museum will present a new exhibition titled “Hollywood Costume”. The exhibition preview will take place on 17 October in presence of the curators Deborah Nadoolman and Sir Christopher Frayling.
The exhibition “Hollywood Costume” will allow the visitors to explore the world of American cinema through emblematic costumes: more than 100 costumes from our century’s major films will be gathered for the occasion. This great opportunity will allow the public to discover costumes worn by mythical characters of Hollywood, such as Dorothy Gale, Indiana Jones, Scarlett O’Hara, Jack Sparrow, Holly Golightly and even Dark Vador. The exhibition will no doubt capture the attention of both adults and children.
“Hollywood Costume” is organised at the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), one of the greatest museums of art and design. It gathers 3.000 years of history through a collection of various artefacts from all the world’s cultures. The museums presents each year exhibitions on various themes and historical periods, and reaches a large public.
