Madrid, 28 June 2012, Art Media Agency (AMA).
From 4 July to 21 October 2012, British artist William Blake (1757-1827), pre-Romantic painter and poet, will be on display at the CaixaForum of Madrid.
For this exhibition, all of the aspects of this artist’s hallucinatory style have been brought together for this exhibition of eighty works on loan from the Tate Modern of London. They emphasise the mystical and prophetic vision characteristic of this artist’s creative universe, the struggle between good and evil, along with the influence the Gothic culture had on him.
The exhibition is completed by works by artists who were deeply touched by the visionary and aesthetic discourse characteristic of William Blake.
